Wireless Network Validation — FIFA World Cup 2026
We’re working with the City of Vancouver to independently validate the wireless network infrastructure being deployed across three FIFA World Cup venues — Killarney Park, Hastings Park, and UBC. Our role is to ensure the network meets the performance, reliability, and redundancy standards required to support event operations, live broadcast services, and public access ahead of the June 2026 go-live deadline.

Neptune Bulk Terminals
Neptune Terminals is a shipping terminal in North Vancouver with 70+ acres of outdoor industrial space filled with trains, heavy equipment and up to three ship in dock at one time that handles 30 million tonnes of bulk products each year. For the past 15 years, Grid Networks has been designing, installing, tuning and upgrading a Wi-Fi network that provides WLAN services to a wide range of devices onsite. This is an environment that is very tough on network equipment. There are many interesting Wi-Fi use cases at this site, from underground tunnels, ship decks, caustic potash, 30+ meter high installations, mesh networking and Wi-Fi installed on moving platforms.

Delta School District
Grid Networks designed and procured Wi-Fi Networks for all the 24 elementary and seven secondary schools in the Delta School Board. Located in Delta, BC on Canada’s West Coast, The Delta School District chose Grid Networks as it allowed them to take an active role in the design and installation of the Wi-Fi Networks that connect their students and staff. Grid Networks has worked continuously with the Delta School District for over a decade.

Hyatt at Olive 8
Hyatt at Olive 8 is one of three Hyatt properties on a single downtown Seattle block supported by Grid Networks.
Our relationship with the property began in 2013 with a complete wireless redesign, replacing the original hallway-based Wi-Fi architecture with a modern in-room access point deployment that dramatically improved guest experience and coverage. Since then, the network has undergone multiple technology refreshes, including migration from Aruba to Ruckus Wireless and a full wired infrastructure replacement.
In 2025, the property was migrated to Ruckus One cloud management, providing centralized visibility and operational efficiency. Future upgrades will introduce integrated IoT door lock management and next-generation wireless services across the property.

Calgary Stampede BMO Centre
Aidan La Roche-Nesplak was engaged by Calgary Stampede to consult on, design, validate, and oversee the deployment of a high-density wireless network for the 350,000-square-foot BMO Centre. The venue hosts some of Canada’s largest events, including the Calgary Stampede, Global Energy Show, International Pipeline Conference, CFA examinations, concerts, conventions, and major trade shows. The project was completed within six months from initial engagement through final validation.
Aidan provided end-to-end wireless consulting services, including RF design, predictive modeling, site surveys, access point placement, controller design, switching consultation, installation oversight, troubleshooting, validation testing, and project management. The solution incorporated more than 120 Wi-Fi 6E access points and over 20 enterprise switches designed for high-density event operations. Extensive spectrum analysis, capacity planning, heat mapping, and validation surveys were performed to ensure reliable performance throughout the facility. The design accounted for constantly changing environmental conditions such as temporary walls, exhibition booths, RV displays, staging structures, and large crowd movements without requiring network reconfiguration between events.
Special attention was given to minimizing RF interference and overcoming limited mounting options while maintaining consistent coverage and capacity. The network successfully supported peak observed client counts of more than 16,000 concurrent users while delivering a minimum throughput target of 500 Mbps throughout the venue. Since deployment, the wireless infrastructure has operated without downtime or roaming issues and continues to support major events at one of Canada’s premier exhibition and convention centres.

Hyatt Regency Seattle
The Hyatt Regency Seattle is the largest hotel in the Pacific Northwest, featuring 1,260 guest rooms and more than 103,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Grid Networks has supported the property since its opening in 2016, working closely with hotel operations teams to optimize wireless performance across guest rooms, meeting spaces, public areas, and back-of-house operations. Over the years, we have delivered multiple network upgrades and technology refreshes, culminating in a full migration to Ruckus One cloud management in 2025.
Today, Grid Networks continues to provide design, optimization, and strategic planning services for one of the most demanding hospitality Wi-Fi environments in North America. Upcoming projects include a property-wide wired network replacement, guest room access point upgrades, and next-generation wireless enhancements.

Grand Hyatt Seattle
Grand Hyatt Seattle is the third Hyatt property supported by Grid Networks in downtown Seattle.
Since 2013, Grid Networks has guided the property’s wireless evolution through multiple generations of technology. Beginning with a complete redesign utilizing in-room access points, the network has continually been upgraded to meet increasing guest expectations and operational demands.
Today the property operates on a modern Ruckus platform with cloud-based management and refreshed wired infrastructure. Ongoing projects include wireless modernization initiatives and IoT integration to support future operational technologies throughout the hotel.

Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego
The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is one of the largest waterfront convention hotels in North America.
Grid Networks was engaged to design the property’s wireless network architecture, a project that presented unique RF engineering challenges due to the hotel’s proximity to both San Diego International Airport and active naval operations. Frequent radar activity created significant disruption to DFS wireless channels used by conventional Wi-Fi designs.
To overcome these challenges, Grid Networks engineered a custom static channel strategy that intelligently balanced DFS and non-DFS spectrum usage throughout the twin-tower property. The design minimized co-channel interference, maximized available capacity, and significantly extended the useful life of the wireless infrastructure while maintaining exceptional guest experience.

Hyatt Regency Orlando
The Hyatt Regency Orlando is one of the premier convention hotels in the United States, featuring 1,641 guest rooms and approximately 315,000 square feet of meeting and event space directly connected to the Orange County Convention Center.
Large convention events create extraordinary peaks in wireless demand, requiring network designs capable of supporting thousands of simultaneous users without service degradation. Grid Networks developed a comprehensive wireless architecture utilizing in-room access points, advanced RF planning, and carefully coordinated channel assignments throughout guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas.
The project also involved coordination between multiple independently managed wireless environments connected through large open-air atriums. Through careful RF engineering and ongoing optimization, the network continues to deliver reliable performance during some of the industry’s largest events and conferences.
The property was also an early adopter of Wi-Fi-connected autonomous delivery robots, which rely on continuous wireless connectivity throughout the hotel’s extensive footprint.

Hyatt Regency Chicago
The Hyatt Regency Chicago is the largest Hyatt hotel in the world, with more than 2,000 guest rooms and one of the largest hotel meeting and convention facilities in North America.
In 2024, the property was facing recommendations for a costly network replacement. Rather than replacing the infrastructure, Grid Networks conducted an extensive month-long RF optimization and network performance analysis. Through careful tuning of both wireless and wired infrastructure, the team was able to significantly improve performance and extend the operational life of the existing network.
The result saved the property a substantial capital expenditure while improving guest experience. A future Wi-Fi 7 modernization project is currently planned.

LEVEL Olympic & Hill
LEVEL Olympic & Hill is a 54-story luxury residential tower in downtown Los Angeles developed by Onni Group.
Grid Networks provided network architecture, design, and equipment procurement for the building’s converged communications infrastructure. The network supports hundreds of secure resident networks while simultaneously carrying building systems including VoIP, access control, IoT devices, cameras, audiovisual systems, and building automation services.
Designed for long-term scalability, the platform delivers enterprise-grade reliability while providing residents with a seamless onboarding and connectivity experience.

Level Los Angeles – Downtown South Olive
LEVEL on Olive is a luxury residential development in downtown Los Angeles featuring approximately 300 suites.
Grid Networks designed and deployed the original network infrastructure in 2015 and has continued to support the property through multiple technology refreshes and upgrades. Today, more than 450 access points provide comprehensive coverage throughout residential suites and indoor and outdoor amenity spaces.
The network serves as a fully converged platform supporting resident internet access, VoIP communications, access control systems, seismic monitoring, building automation, cameras, and audiovisual services across a single managed infrastructure.
